This summer basketball camp is designed for youth players who want to develop their basketball skills in a fun, energetic environment at Dwight-Englewood. Over the course of the camp, participants will work directly with members of the Dwight-Englewood Basketball coaching staff and current players, taking part in skill-building drills, live game situations, and scrimmages. Students should bring their own lunch. Gatorade and snacks will be for sale.Â
This camp also serves as an important stepping stone for future engagement. By giving players and families a firsthand look at what makes Dwight-Englewood unique. Ultimately, this summer camp will help drive more applications from dedicated players and their families who are seeking a supportive and challenging academic and athletic environment.
What to Expect
- Develop basketball skills in a fun, energetic environment.
- Work directly with the D-E Boys Basketball Varsity coaching staff and current players.

- Receive instruction in offensive shooting form, footwork, ballhandling and concepts of team offense.

Meet Our Camp Director

Aaron Gratch
Girls Basketball Camp director
At NJIT, Gratch helped the Highlanders win 40 games over a three-year stretch, the best three-year run in the program’s Division I history. During his tenure, NJIT appeared in three America East quarterfinal matchups and advanced to the semifinals in 2021-22. He also helped coach three all-conference selections, including 2022-23 America East Rookie of the Year Alejandra Zuniga.
Prior to NJIT, Gratch had two successful stints as the varsity girls basketball head coach at Gill St. Bernard’s School in Gladstone, New Jersey. In 2012, Gill St. Bernard’s won a state championship and finished ranked No. 15 in the country. His later teams reached the Somerset County Tournament final in 2016-17 and finished the 2017-18 season ranked No. 18 in New Jersey.
Gratch began his collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach at Colgate University from 2012-14. He also served as head coach at The Patrick School in Elizabeth, New Jersey, where he guided the program to the first Union County Championship in girls basketball program history. Following that season, he was named Union County Star-Ledger Coach of the Year.
A graduate of Caldwell University, Gratch earned a Bachelor of Science in Management. He also holds an MBA in Sport Management from Seton Hall University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Montclair State University.
